AMPHOMER® HC polymer is a high performance film-former and hair spray fixative specifically designed for use in systems containing a large proportion of hydrocarbon propellant. It is also compatible with dimethyl ether propellant systems and can be used to produce crystal clear hair spray solutions. Films of the polymer are hard, yet flexible, resulting in formulations that have excellent long-lasting hold. AMPHOMER HC polymer provides the well-known market-leading stiffness and humidity resistance similar to AMPHOMER® polymer.

Armocare® Aqua 12 surfactant is a non-quat hair conditioning agent designed for high-performing, sustainable hair care formulations. Suitable for various applications, such as rinse-off and leave-in products, it can be used in shampoos to boost conditioning performance. In conditioners, it stands out by providing superior conditioning properties to both wet and dry hair, ensuring detangling, smoothness, and manageability. It also offers emulsifying properties, enabling it to be used as the sole emulsifier in some conditioner formulation chassis.

BIOSTYLE® XH polymer is a naturally-derived film-forming polymer designed for use in clear, stiffer holding hair gels, mousses, and other working styling aids where volumizing properties are desired. BIOSTYLE XH polymer provides the on-hair performance, exceptional clarity, and consumer preferred rheology that are typically associated with synthetic fixative polymers, yet BIOSTYLE XH polymer is partially derived from renewable resources. This high molecular weight, proprietary hybrid polymer represents a new way for formulators to create more sustainable, harder holding styling products while maintaining cost-in-use targets without any sacrifice of performance properties.

RESYN 28-2930LVOC polymer has holding power, humidity resistance, manageability, gloss and adhesion to the hair without flaking. Developed for hydroalcoholic hairspray formulations, this grade of RESYN provides optimum clarity and superior compatibility with dimethyl ether in high water-containing systems. 

RESYN™ XP polymer is an acrylic film-former developed for use in cost-efficient, high hydrocarbon hair spray systems. It provides excellent curl retention as would be expected of a high performance acrylate and can be formulated to provide a range of hold levels from very stiff to natural hold. RESYN XP polymer can tolerate up to 60% hydrocarbon propellant and still maintain a cloud point of –20°C. The excellent on-hair feel of this polymer is also a special benefit to the formulator.

BALANCE® CR polymer is a film forming hair fixative primarily designed for low VOC aerosol hair spray systems. It is supplied as an easy to use liquid emulsion, provides very low viscosities in high-water formulations, and its molecular weight has been optimized for superior stiffness and high humidity hold. Films of the polymer are hard but provide a more natural, flexible feel on the hair compared to the AMPHOMER® polymer technology. BALANCE CR polymer uses Nouryon's low-corrosion technology, which reduces the level of corrosion that is typically associated with emulsion polymers.

BALANCE® RCFg polymer is a multifunctional film former and rheology modifier that provides cost-effective thickening and versatile performance in a variety of hair styling and surfactant-containing systems. 

AMPHOMER® polymer is an amphoteric acrylic hair fixative that offers market-leading stiffness and unprecedented high humidity curl retention properties. It is a stiff resin with unparalleled holding power for ultimate control in all temperature and humidity conditions. AMPHOMER polymer can be applied in traditional and low VOC aerosol and pump hair sprays, and styling aids such as mousses, gels, creams, pomades, and glues where long-lasting finishing hold is desired. AMPHOMER polymer also provides thermal protection properties (refer to US Patent 9,119,972 B2) and acts as a hair shield for hot heating implements such as flat irons and curling wands, helping to protect the hair cuticle from hair damage caused by heat.

ARQUAD PC 16-50 is a mono-alkyl quaternary based on vegetable C-16 fatty acid that provides a good balance of conditioning hair with ease of use and formulation.

Arquad® PC SV-60 PG is an easy to use liquid vegetable-derived, biodegradable cationic conditioning agent that also performs as an emulsifier. Due to its cationic nature and unique structure, it is substantive to both hair and skin. Available and approved globally.

BIOSTYLE® CGP polymer is a naturally-derived film- forming polymer designed especially for use in volumizing and working styling products including clear hair gels, spray gels, creams, lotions and mousses. This styling polymer has a high natural content and performs as a match to PVP K-30 and PVP/VA systems. In addition to providing a similar hold, this polymer also delivers exceptional volume generation and root lift while providing a workable hold. A proprietary hybrid polymer comprised of maltodextrin and vinyl pyrrolidone, BIOSTYLE CGP polymer represents a new way for formulators to create more natural and sustainable styling products while maintaining cost-in- use targets and without any sacrifice of performance properties.

RESYN™ 28-2930 polymer is a film-forming hair fixative that offers cost-effective stiffness with flexibility in high alcohol hair spray formulas. It provides strong holding power, manageability, gloss, and adhesion to the hair without flaking.

In 80% VOC hair sprays containing approximately 15% water, AMPHOMER LV-71 polymer can provide fine atomization as well as the superior features and benefits expected from AMPHOMER polymer, including excellent stiffness and high humidity curl retention properties. AMPHOMER LV-71 polymer’s composition is also covered under US Patent 9,119,972 B2, and can act as a hair shield for hot heating implements such as flat irons and curling wands, helping to protect the hair cuticle from hair damage caused by heat.

BALANCE® 47 polymer is a hydrophobically modified acrylic film-former specially designed to produce superior performance in low VOC aerosol and pump hair sprays containing high levels of water. Due to its unique composition and molecular weight distribution, BALANCE 47 polymer overcomes the effects of water over a broad range of hair spray VOC content.

Film former that provides excellent humidity resistance and hold when used in anhydrous or 80% VOC hair sprays. In hair spray systems, it offers improved stiffness, durability, and long-lasting hold compared to AMPHOMER polymer. In addition, the AMPHOMER 4961 polymer version provides improved compatibility with thickening agents (e.g. carbomer) for hard holding styling gels and other styling aids.
